Terangi Roimata Kutia-Tataurangi is an emerging visual artist practicing primarily in painting and nail art, she graduated in 2013 from Toihoukura, School of Visual Art and Design. As a qualified nail technician she is the pioneer of an innovative art form known as Toimaikuku – Māori Nail Art. Terangi Roimata describes her style as bright and bold with a unique feminie and indigenous modern twist.
She has exhibited at Te Papa, Thistle Gallery, Kura Gallery, The Cloud, Tairāwhiti Museum, Paul Nache Gallery, Fresh Otara Gallery and has been included in several community and international arts projects including the UN Turapa Project (2014), Imago Mundi Italy (2016) and NUKU100 (2019).
