Tōnui Collab is working with rangatahi from local kura in Te Tairāwhiti to explore the meaning of Matariki and create responses through a digital art lens. Rangatahi will be creating digital self-portraits that share their hononga with ngā whetū o Matariki.

Tōnui Collab is a values-led kaupapa-driven charitable trust and specialist bilingual education team dedicated to creating innovative STEMM* learning opportunities for rangatahi in Tairāwhiti. *STEMM spans science, technology, engineering and maths through a mātauranga lens. Tōnui Collab’s whāinga is to support rangatahi o te Tairāwhiti to access the pathway of realising their potential to be science and technology problem solvers and innovators.

An exhibition of work created by rangatahi will be on display at HB Williams Memorial Library.
