Muriwai Weavers are a beautiful group of kairaranga (weavers) who hold regular wānanga at Te Muriwai Marae. Wi Pohatu facilitates these wānanga providing his expert raranga training to the rōpū. The Muriwai Weavers will be holding workshops that are open to the public during the Matariki season, a great opportunity to learn from a talented group of artists. Registrations are limited to 15 attendees per session.
Workshops will be held in the Education Room at Tairāwhiti Museum.
