Reb Fountain

A performance full of story, justice and love borne from a life lived and a world traversed. A pre-eminent singer and performer, Reb has for years been the musicians’ secret.

She’s performed and recorded with Neil Finn, The Eastern, The Warratahs, Marlon Williams, Don McGlashan, Finn Andrews/The Veils, Tami Neilson and Julia Deans.

Adam McGrath describes her as Lucky Strike cool and Jamesons raw, with a voice born of fire and river run, mountain strong and feather soft.

Her album Hopeful and Hopeless, according to some, is the most perfect EP ever made. It won the Tui for Best Country Album/Artist 2018 and Reb took out the APRA Best Country Song 2018 for its title track.

Reb Fountain releases her long awaited, third and self-titled album in early 2020. Co-produced by Dave Khan (Marlon Williams) it features the single Faster and showcases Fountain's noir punk-folk songwriting style.

"Songwriters don’t come much better than this.” - William Dart, Radio NZ

“Reb Fountain is to be counted among our finest songwriters whose imagery is both personal and universal, and her command of a melody and a song transcends genre.” - Graham Reid, Elsewhere
