Dave Dobbyn plays Gisborne as part of his re-scheduled ‘Open Up’ tour.
Performing hidden gems and much-loved anthems from his extensive back catalogue, Dave will be joined by Auckland’s Ross Burge (drums) and Taranaki guitarist Victoria Girling-Butcher.
Dave’s last performance was on Zoom for the Music Helps charity that provides assistance to all those behind the scenes in music who have lost work. But the road is beckoning.
“Now I have the opportunity to open up our horizons again, to put the band and crew on the road and experience real-life gatherings” says Dobbyn.
“Loading in gear and packing out at the end of the night has never been more appealing!”
Christchurch’s Good Will (Will McGillivray from Nomad) opens for Dave Dobbyn in a night that recognises the resilience of the kiwi music industry.
